From the South (Wellington)
Head towards Masterton. Just as you enter Masterton you will cross the Waingawa River. Take the first turn left ( the Bypass Road). You will pass a school on your left, cross over railway tracks and then the road will take you ninety degrees to the right. Follow this road through a roundabout and on to a T-junction. Turn left at the T-junction. Follow this main bypass road for 5 kms. Veer right over a small bridge - the road then becomes very straight. Matahiwi Estate is on your right. The winery entrance is clearly marked.
From the North (Hawkes Bay)
Just before entering Masterton, turn right on to Paierau Road ( the main Bypass Road). Travel for 5 kms along this road. Matahiwi Estate is on the left of Paierau Road, just past the loopline intersection. The winery entrance is clearly marked.
